Session 2

Inter-session tasks to be completed before the next session, which will be in week beginning 25 February.

  1. Do the first assessment task (see the module handbook for details).
  2. Complete the lateral thinking exercise we used in class.
  3. Read pp5-21 of Thomson (2002) (see reading list for details). Do the exercises included. (There are copies on short loan and reference only in the library).
  4. Practise using the six thinking hats and lateral thinking techniques as much as you can - look out for opportunities and maybe create some exercises for yourself. Be prepared to report on your progress at the next session.
  5. Read the article on the dark sucker theory.
  6. Reflect on what we have done in the first two sessions - what have YOU learned? How have YOU progressed or developed your skills?
